A Personal Letter
The Reason Why
As a child, my curiosity drove me to ask questions until I truly understood a concept. Today, that same inquisitiveness allows me to teach from any starting point and meet young people exactly where they are.
I focus on connecting ideas to the real experiences of youth—especially those from urban communities—because understanding should be equitable, not dependent on background. Many inequities young people face stem from circumstances beyond their control, and empowerment begins when we turn barriers of information into bridges of understanding.
I believe resilience is a universal language that produces wisdom, courage, and hope. My goal is to support youth in building confidence, character, and the core competencies needed to thrive as healthy young adults.
Two principles guide my work: a teacher never assumes someone knows the answer and “with all thy getting, get an understanding.” I’m honored to serve this generation and help them become the best version of themselves.
